The City Government of Tagum strictly enjoins all Tagumenyos who recently travelled to countries and other places affected by the Coronavirus Disease (COVID-19) to exercise utmost caution and to impose mandatory self-quarantine upon arrival at their respective homes for a period of 14 days. The same is also strictly advised to all Tagumenyos who recently travelled to Luzon, Metro Manila, and Northern Mindanao. Following our guidelines on COVID-19 response, Tagumenyos with recent travel to these places shall report their arrival and travel histories to their respective Barangay Health Stations or any member of their respective Barangay Health Emergency Response Team. This mechanism is part of our LGU’s Community Surveillance initiative as stipulated in our comprehensive guideline.
TAGUM NIGHT MARKET OPERATIONS SUSPENDED ON MARCH 14-18, 2020
The City Government of Tagum announces the suspension of the operations of the Tagum City Night Market starting March 14, 2020 until March 18, 2020 as part of the precautionary measure of the local government against the possible outbreak of COVID-19. This is also in support to the social distancing measure imposed by the Department of Health. This suspension shall cover all the sections of the Night Market.
The City Economic Enterprises Office, the Security Management Office and the Philippine National Police shall ensure that this order is being enforced. The lifting of this order will still be subject for deliberation by the LGU.
The LGU also announces the prohibition of converging of people in Public Parks and Plazas as laid out in the Tagum City Government Guidelines No. 1 Series of 2020 for Corona Virus Disease (COVID-19) until the lifting of the State of Public Health Emergency

The Department of Education Division of Tagum City is directed to accelerate the remaining activities of the school year 2019-2020 and to suspend the classes effective on Monday, March 16, 2020. This shall cover the pre-school, elementary, junior and senior high schools for both public and private schools, respectively. The suspension of classes for the tertiary level shall be left on the discretion of their respective college administrators.
