TAGUM CITY – Closer to the end of his three-term service as the Father of Tagum City, Mayor Allan Rellon delivered his 8th State of the City Address (SOTCA) this afternoon, March 7, held at the Tagumpay Theatre of the City Historical and Cultural Center.
In time for the celebration of the 24th Araw ng Tagum, this year’s SOTCA managed to have virtual audience through a watch party from the selected government centers, parks, terminal, and malls in response to the intensified COVID-19 protocols.
Calling the order of the Regular Session of the Sangguniang Panlungsod ng Tagum was regular presiding officer City Vice Mayor Eva Lorraine Estabillo together with the 8th City Council of Tagum in support to the local chief executive’s pitch of achievements and victories.
Even in the face of adversities such as the recent pandemic, Tagum has continued to soar high like an eagle, as the City Government of Tagum under the stewardship of Mayor Allan Rellon, remained steadfast and united in making the state of the city in its strongest.
Mayor Rellon underscored that the true strength of Tagum is its people. The Rellon administration was able to build a unified people through healthy dialogues and harmonious cooperation, that eventually strengthened the LGU’s capacity to expand pro-people programs and achieve countless victories in the process.
Recapping his record-breaking accomplishments in his almost 9-year service as the city’s local chief executive, Mayor Rellon took the opportunity to thank the people of Tagum who are central in the making of what he considers as the golden decade for the City of Tagum.
Summing up this year’s SOTCA, Mayor Rellon ended his speech by describing his legacy during his government reign: “MaLIPAYong Tagumenyos sa maLAMBOon nga Syudad, diin matag KINABUHI importante ug gina-respeto, ug tanan nagtinabangay alang sa PANGINABUHIan sa tanan.
