Tagum City— 12,000 peso-worth of illegal drugs were busted last March 6 from the possessions of two (2) individuals linked to illegal drug trading in Prk. Suaybaguio B, Brgy. Magugpo North, Tagum City in the early hours of the morning.
Lawful elements of Tagum City Police Station (TCPS) led by the Intel Officer PSI Eduardo J Corpuz under the direct supervision of TCPS officer-in-charge PSUPT Philip Jefferson S Ayban conducted an Anti-Illegal Drug Buy Bust Operation in coordination with the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency Region XI (PDEA) under coordination number ROXI 30004-032019-0038.
The operation resulted to the arrest of Ian Cabasag Al-ag, 33-year old, married, driver, a resident of Purok Dagohoy, Barangay Canocotan, Tagum City and ARREIS ORAT PAÑA, 24-year old, single, driver, a resident of Purok 4, Bermudez Plains, Barangay Apokon, Tagum City.
Valiant efforts from the end of dispatched uniformed men ensued the seizure of six (6) pieces elongated heat-sealed transparent cellophane containing white crystalline substance believed to be methamphetamine hydrochloride commonly known as “shabu” and the buy bust money from the suspects.
Also, the police force got hold of a matte-gray-colored Yamaha MIO bearing the serial number 1101-0331335.
Appropriate legal actions will be bestowed upon the captives who are now detained in the Tagum City detention cell and the confiscated pieces of evidence will be subjected for laboratory examination.
This undertaking is still in line with the developmental thrust of the Rellon’s administration to foster Genuine Peace, Safety and Security in the city and the LGU’s counterpart to the national government’s drive towards having a drug-free country.
The arrest of these alleged drug personalities is expected to lessen and eventually stop the proliferation of illegal drugs in Tagum. Rigor Mortiz
