Tagum boosts emergency response with 2 new rescue vehicles

Two brand new rescue vehicles of the City Government of Tagum were blessed during the Monthly Convocation Program and Eucharistic Mass on May 8, 2017 at the City Hall Atrium.

Funds used for the purchase of these vehicles were taken from 2016’s Calamity Fund of the City Disaster Risk Reduction Management Office.

A total fund of 4.1 million pesos was allocated for two offices of the LGU Tagum to suffice the need for new transportation equipment, of which 1.9 million pesos was allotted for the City Health Office and 2.2 million pesos for the City Disaster Risk Reduction Management Office.

Mayor Allan L. Rellon said this is a great advancement for Tagum City in the efforts of responding to emergency situations, and a boost to his agenda on genuine peace, safety and security under the EAGLE WINGS Program.

Msgr. Ulysses Perandos initiated the blessing of the new government vehicles. This blessing is a manifestation of Tagum City’s aim in securing the residents’ wellness by providing more of these transportation equipment until each district of the city has its own rescue vehicle for immediate emergency response. Drex Rafols/CIO Tagum
