Tagum City — Three members of Resbak ng Bagsakan (RNB), a known riot gang, who were suspected of the series of snatching, robbery and motornapping cases in Tagum, were apprehended in a joint operation conducted by the Tagum City PNP led by PMAJ Joselito L. Tan, Jr., and New Corella PNP led by PMAJ Cosme S. Masepequiña last March 29 at 3 o’clock in the afternoon in Brgy. Mesaoy, New Corella.
The suspects were identified as Donald Baleza Juegos, 25, a resident of Purok Talisay, Seminary Drive, Brgy. Magugpo West; Ivan Petagar Rabaya, 18, a resident of Purok Garcia, Brgy. Mankilam; and Jerome Bation Jamo, 18, a resident of Purok 10, Brgy. Beach Poblacion, Maco.
Seized from the possession of the accused were one replica of caliber .45 pistol, one heat sealed cellophane containing white crystalline substance, one hand grenade explosive device known as “APPLE” and another hand grenade explosive device known as “CACAO”.
Juegos and one of his cohort who is still at large were also identified as the prime suspects for kidnapping a 16-year-old female from Esperanza, Sto. Tomas and subsequently raped the victim at Brgy. Busaon in Tagum last March 16.
The nabbed entities will face charges in violating Republic Act 9516 or the Anti-Gun Replica law, and Presidential Decree 1612 or the Anti-Fencing law. Juegos was also charged a case in violation of Republic Act 8353 or the Anti-Rape law. They are now in custody of the New Corella PNP.
PMAJ Tan, Jr. encouraged every Tagumenyo to be vigilant at all times and immediately report any suspicious activity in their area in line with the Anti-Criminality campaign of the Tagum City Police Station.
