Tagum employees rake awards in CSC’s annual honor awards program

Tagum City— The pursuit of the local government to give the best services to Tagumenyos has garnered appreciation during the Regional Recognition and Awards Rites of the 2018 Search for Outstanding Public Officials and Employees last September 11, 2018 at the Grand Men Seng Hotel, Davao City.

10 bids of the LGU to the Honor Awards Program (HAP), after a thorough scrutiny of the panel of Civil Service Commission (CSC) adjudicators, did shine utmost among the hopeful contenders in Region XI.

The Honor Awards program or simply HAP is an annual undertaking of CSC to recognize government officials and employees who have displayed outstanding work performance in the field of public service. This aims to motivate every government employees to improve their performance and instill deeper involvement in serving the people.

LGU Tagum employees have passed the bar set by the Civil Service Commission to be conferred as the winners in the three categories of the said undertaking; 2018 Civil Service Commission Pagasa Awards- Individual and Group Categories, and the 2018 Presidential or Lingkod Bayan Award.

Giovanni Rellon, MDMG, the city administrator and Edna J. Quilario, MPA, the City Human Resource Management Officer were awarded the Pagasa award-Individual category.

In the same vein, 5 offices and core group of the city government received the Pag-asa award-Group category, to wit, City Information Office, Hugpong Serbisyo Para sa Tagumenyos Core Group, City Health Office- Balik Sigla Team, City Agriculture Office, which became a National Finalist in the category, and the City Cultural Communities Affairs Division, formerly known as Tribal and Muslim Affairs Office which has been recognized as a national winner of the 2018 CSC Pagasa Award set to be awarded in Malacanan Palace on September 19.

On the other hand, Rogeneth P. Llanos, MPA, the PEESO Manager, Jesus G. Edullantes, DVM, the city veterinarian, and Mary Grace D. Terante, the city Economic Enterprises Manager, were heralded as regional winners of the 2018 Presidential-Lingkod Bayan Award-Individual Category.
