The Slaughter Training Operation Program is one of the flagship programs of Hon. Mayor Rey T. Uy. Training and harnessing our butchery trainees’ skills, providing excellent and quality performance. This initiative aims to shape our fellow Tagumenyos pursuing butchery ready to be deployed in Australia. A plenty of excited trainees enter the slaughterhouse with a mixture of eagerness and excitement, taking in the shiny cleavers and well-used steels for sharpening. These are the next generation of butchers, prepared to go out on a new path that will turn them from unskilled craftsmen into accomplished meat crafters. The program is open to both men and women, ranging from 18 to 40 years old; following the qualifications and has not undergone any major operations specifically on their hands, as butchering requires precise and efficient hand coordination. As they finished their training exercise, they will undergo Trade Test to become a candidate to be deployed in Australia.
In addition to their technical expertise, butchers are essential in helping people develop clear fondness with the food they eat. They also provide customers with a personalized experience. They may receive guidance, learn about various cuts, and even place custom orders that are tailored to the customers’ unique needs.
It is a good opportunity for people who undergo training in this program, not only will they explore and improve their skills but also to train under a foreign environment, the willingness to be taught outside Tagum; away from familiar environment. They will improve their communications skills, cutting techniques that will enhance their service quality.
We are grateful to our Local Chief Executive, Hon. Mayor Rey T. Uy for supporting our trainees and tightening our ties and seeking opportunities with Kilcoy Global Foods. Giving more opportunities for our upcoming and new aspiring butchers giving their whole, skills and, dedication to Kilcoy Global Foods where they will be deployed.
The qualified butchers who successfully graduated from the free Slaughtering Operations Training Program of our Local Government have been recognized; 12 qualified butchers will be escorted by our LGU-Tagum, led by Hon. Mayor Rey T. Uy, to Australia and will work for the Junee Prime Lamb company. Together with the City Public Education and Employment Services Office (PEESO), this program uplift lives, economy, opportunity, and employment; butchers are not just suppliers of meat but stewards of artistry and sustainability. In the food supply chain, butchers are essential because they provide consumers with meat and support the livelihoods of farmers. Among these trainees are: Tagumenyos, non-Tagumenyos, and drug reformists who has been given an opportunity working through to a bright future. As we honor these workers, let us provide appreciation and support to them who inspire and strengthen the Tagum community.
